Super Easy Cindy Lynn’s Turkey Brine

Brining your turkey is a sure-fire way of guaranteeing a perfectly moist bird! Once you have brined a turkey, whether you are going to bake, BBQ, smoke or fry, you will never go “brine-less”!
Ingredients:
2 quarts apple juice
1 gallon cold water
1 bottle Cindy Lynn’s Veggie Delight (5.8 ounce)
1 bottle Cindy Lynn’s Black Label (5.8 ounce)
6 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
10 pound bag of ice
Directions:
Make the Brine
Place the juice, water and dry rubs in a large pot, bring the liquid up to a simmer or low boil and stir until dry rubs dissolving completely. Remove pot from the heat and add the ice and garlic. If the ice does not cool down the brine completely add more ice or let the brine cool on its own before moving on to the next step.
DO NOT POUR HOT LIQUID OVER YOUR TURKEY.
Cooler Method:
Line a cooler with a large food safe bag. Pour cooled brine into the bag. Put turkey, breast-side down, into the brine. Pour more ice over the turkey to keep cool overnight. If needed, add more water to completely cover the turkey. Seal the bag and close the cooler; sit overnight.
Refrigerator Container Method:
Use a large food container (with a locking lid) that fits in your refrigerator.
Placing the turkey in the container:
For vertical containers, place neck first with cavity facing up
For horizontal container, place breast side down
Pour the cooled brine over the turkey making sure to fully submerge and filling the cavity. If needed, add more water to ensure the turkey is completely covered. Place the locking lid onto the container and refrigerate overnight.

Directions

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain.

In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef over medium heat. Add spaghetti sauce, and simmer 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer as follows: 1/2 of the ziti, Provolone cheese, sour cream, 1/2 sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce mixture. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheeses are melted.
